Wales v Romania U-21

September 9th, 2008 | By: j | No Comments »

Brian Flynn’s U-21 side have a extremely tough challenge ahead this evening against Romania in Iaşi as not only do they have to contend with the squad that they lost to last month in Wrexham.

Regarding last months match, Brian Flynn commented:

“The boys did enough to win, but we did not take our chances. But we have another chance out in Romania which will be very difficult. They are a difficult team to play, but we have proved we can score goals. The positive thing is that we have shown Romania that we are capable of beating them.”

Unfortunately given the senior’s squad match against Russia tomorrow, Wales U21 will be without seven of the starting eleven.

I will report on the match once it concludes.
